Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:

Hotel Adalbert is the first hotel in the Czech Republic to be awarded the eco-label from the European Union. The hotel ensures its practices are in line with their label as a ‘green hotel‘, primarily with regards to energy and water conservation, waste reduction, and environmental education.

Hotel Adalbert implements these policies by following several measures within the hotel. Some of these include training staff on environmental conservation, adding recycling bins throughout the hotel, using water conserving toilets and showers, energy efficient light bulbs, and using eco-friendly products.

Additionally, Hotel Adalbert has recently garnered the Cyclists Welcome accreditation (www.cyklistevitani.cz) - the first hotel in Prague to do so! This means the hotel is geared towards cyclists and as such offers a variety of services, including somewhere to store bikes, get repairs, offer information on cycling routes and prepare nutritious meals suitable for those with a long day's cycling ahead!

The hotel also encourages guests to use public transportation and support local businesses. Hotel Adalbert is one of Prague's finest examples of a hotel having a real positive impact on the local community!
