Apart Hotel Amedeus is a very attractive accommodation choice given its handsome exterior and envious location in a quiet street of a vibrant area of Prague. Dalimilova Street is a small and reserved Zizkov lane connecting two energetic Zizkov streets. The district itself is particularly popular for its mind-boggling number of bars and pubs and its reputation as a centre of counter-culture and Apart Hotel Amedeus surrounding environs certainly sustains this status.

Dalimilova Street exhibits nothing more than the Hotel's restaurant, yet if you continue to the end of the street then you will find a fabulous Czech restaurant on one corner, and a popular bar on the other, which introduces you to the pretty Kostnicke Namesti (Square) ahead. The square is surrounded on all sides by further eateries, but venture further up the hill to reveal more of Zizkov's amenities.

If you head left out of the hotel up to Cimburkova Street, you will instantly see the neighbourhood police station right in front of you. Down Cimburkova there are plenty more local pubs, an optician and solarium, while if you walk up the hill you are rewarded by, you guessed it, more pubs and restaurants. At the very top of the gradient is Seifertova Street, the main road dissecting Zizkov, which is lined with amenities including grocery stores, banks and pharmacies and importantly your nearest public transport service.

Trams 5, 9, and 26 run every few minutes into town, from stops Husinecka or Lipanska, both of which take under 5 minutes walking. All trams take you to the main train station in 2 minutes and the 26 runs to Dejvicka in 20 minutes, from where you can get the bus to the airport. The number 9 will probably be your favourite tram as it runs straight through the centre of the capital, stopping at Wenceslas Square in 6 minutes and Andel shopping district in 12.
