Hotel U Cervene Zidle / The Red Chair Hotel
Settle at the Red Chair Pension and live in a picture postcard backdrop during your trip to the magnificent Czech capital. The Red Chair dwells deep in the bowels of Prague's mystical Old Town, lost in a labyrinth of narrow, cobbled streets and yet only a short stroll from the effortless splendour of the Old Town Square. Red Chair's position in Prague's very centre, nestled into the bend of the River Vltava, means everything on offer is within easy reach of your room.
Liliova Street, as already mentioned, is extraordinarily central. Once you've reached your hotel, most if not all of your exploits during your holiday can be carried out on foot. The nearest metro stop, Narodni Trida (line 'B' or yellow), is still no more than five minutes walk away, and Mustek station (line 'A' or green), which takes you to/from the airport bus is a ten minute walk from the Red Chair.
The centre of Prague is not large, so a good map and the smallest notion of direction should stand you in excellent stead. Outside of your door there is fine selection of bars and restaurants further down Liliova as you exit the Red Chair to your right. Furthermore, you'll find a pharmacy, a number or small galleries and church as you delve deeper in the direction of the Old Town.
To the left of the accommodation is a handily placed deli/newsagent, which leads you out into the simply marvelous Betlemske Namesti. In this gorgeously serene square, there is an outstanding selection of restaurants, notably 'V Zatisi', which essentially faces the entrance to the Red Chair. Swing left into the square and at its conclusion take a right onto 'Na Perstyne' to see a Tesco on the horizon, beneath which sits the metro stop Narodni Trida.
