About Us

Ahoj! Meet Stefan, Klaudija and Luke, your local connection for the city of Prague. We are here to assist you with all your travel arrangements in the Czech capital and beyond. We are all avid travellers and understand exactly the types of things that you need and expect when in a foreign country.

We want to make you feel as comfortable as possible so you can relax and enjoy your trip. We are here for you 24/7 to offer any advice or help if you ever need it. We feel very fortunate to be living in such a great part of the world, with the stunning nature, history, the friendly people, the rich hearty food, and we can't forget to mention the world-famous pivo (beer)!

A little about us...

Stefan is from Australia and has lived across the world including Japan, Nigeria and the UK. He now calls Prague his home with his Czech wife. Luke is another Aussie and has been enjoying all that Prague has to offer especially the rich meaty goulash! Klaudija is from Slovenia and has worked in tourism for many years travelling across the different continents. It was the beautiful architecture of Old Prague though that bought her here to live permanently.

Sustainable Tourism in Prague

We at Praguehotel-link are proud to be a part of the whl.travel team where sustainable tourism practices are promoted and encouraged. With tourism growing globally, the tourism industry in Czech Republic has not been left out. Over the last 15 years Czech Republic has experienced massive growth and is now one of the most popular destinations to visit in Europe.

This being the case, the issue of sustainable tourism becomes even more critical to the destination. If you are not quite sure that sustainable tourism is, well it can be defined simply as improving the destination through social, cultural/historical, and environmental actions or initiatives today in an effort to ensure that the tourists and residents of tomorrow are still able to enjoy what makes the destination unique."

Our travel portal gives local accommodation and tour providers the opportunity to show travellers what they are doing to support sustainable tourism and their destination.

On our part, we are doing a lot to help the local community. We for instance support the local Big Issue Homeless Magazine in Czech, locally known as Novy Prostor, a magazine that has given the opportunity to many people living on the margins of mainstream society a chance to provide for themselves. This magazine is sold for 40czk with 50% of that going back to the vendor.

We provide consultancy work for the NESsT initiative that works to solve critical social problems in emerging market countries. This is done by developing and supporting social enterprises that strengthen civil society organizations' financial sustainability and maximize their social impact.

Our company also provides assistance to two EU projects. The first being EASY, a program set up to support entrepreneurs and the second is EQUAL, set up to help the long term unemployed integrate back into the workforce.

We have a number of hotels that we feel are making their effort towards sustainable tourism, including, Old Town Square Hotel and Residence , Hostel Elf , Hotel U Klenotnika and Hotel U Tri Bubnu. Give them a try!

What can you do?

Whilst you are in Prague there are many things that you can do to support our destination. We have listed a few of them here:

- Take advantage of Prague's excellent public transportation. For only 20czk you can go anywhere in the city using multiple transport methods. Better yet, you could always walk!

- Choose local restaurants over the foreign owned ‘Golden Arch' variety. By eating at a locally owned restaurant your money is staying in the economy and going to local people.

- Purchase souvenirs from local stores rather than the Russian-owned souvenir stores (you can usually tell the Russian-owned stores because they sell the babushka dolls). If you are not sure where to look, simply go one street over from the main tourist strips and your bound to find a small locally owned souvenir store.

- Take one of our ‘caring for the destination' tours that take you outside of Prague into areas less frequented by tourism.

- Have respect for local heritage sites, don't disrespect local customs and do not litter, especially with cigarette butts.

- If you see one of the homeless vendors selling the Novy Prostor magazine purchase a copy for 40czk.

Offering a variety of unique accommodation, our booking site is like no other on the internet. When you contact us, you are contacting your local Prague connection, because we live and work here! Making our knowledge and customer service second to none. We are your not just your booking agent, but your one-stop-shopping for all of your Prague travel needs...
